Program DescriptionThe Associate in Occupational Science (A.O.S.) degree program in Automotive Technology with High Performance Engineering offers ASE/NATEF based training in the practical aspects of automotive maintenance and repair with emphasis on logical diagnostics procedures and effective repair methods. Students receive classroom and laboratory training using modern test equipment and specialized tools. Students gain hands-on experience in a realistic high performance shop environment where they must demonstrate specific proficiencies. Course content provides students with the knowledge and skills required for entry-level employment as an automotive repair technician in an automotive service center.
The Service Management course work provides students with a strong foundation in business management, customer service, communications skills, employee relations, inventory management as well as understanding business financial reports. Students with Service Management Skills may have the ability to advance more rapidly in the workforce or choose to start and manage their own business.
Students attend classes four days per weeks on various schedules.
